Born and raised in Meriden, CT, Ed is a true native to the area. Ed graduated from O.H. Platt High School in Meriden, where he assisted the head athletic trainer in evaluation and rehabilitation of athletes. Leaving CT only to attend both university and graduate school, Ed returned to the state with admission to help build both the reputation and acceptance of acupuncture. While maintaining an interaction and appreciation for Western, orallopathic, medicine and its uses, he sought a better and more integrated method to the healing of not only disease, but the whole person.
Ed’s interests in the improvement and rehabilitation of athletes has carried over from his earlier experiences, but has also branched out to include all facets of human health. His Acupuncture training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has prepared Ed to be a general acupuncturist, able to treat a variety of conditions ranging from musculo-skeletal disorders, such as sprains, strains, sore muscles, and osteoarthritis, to issues of women’s health concerns, digestive disorders, and respiratory disorders such as asthma, as well as stress reduction and alleviation of its symptoms.
