Many people don't realize that medicinal herbs are just as much a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine as acupuncture is. In fact, the two work synergistically together to enhance and speed up your healing process. If you're already coming in for an acupuncture session, let our acupuncturists know that you're interested in herbs as well. Otherwise, we are offing herbal consultations as a stand-alone session.

One of the strengths of Chinese Medicine is that we work holistically, recommending herbal formulas not just for the issue you're trying to address at the moment, but also taking into consideration what your underlying constitution is like. Therefore, for these consults, you will fill out a several page intake form which we will discuss together in order to get the best picture possible of where you are now, and how to get where you want to be.

Herbal consultations can be scheduled in the office or remotely, via Zoom. Zoom is a free application which can be used from your telephone or computer, during which the private information you share will be secure. Following the consult, herbal recommendations will be made but there is no requirement to purchase formulas through us. Those which are purchased can be drop shipped to you or picked up in the office, according to your preference.

Community Acupuncture is done in a traditional Chinese-style group setting which amplifies the healing power of the work with the presence of others receiving similar therapy. This allows us to treat several patients at once and at rates lower than those charged for private-room treatments.

TRADITIONAL FIRE CUPPING

An ancient therapy that consists of having round glass or plastic suction cups that are warmed, then placed on sore parts of the body. The placement of the cup creates a partial vacuum, which stimulates muscles and blood flow while relieving pain.
